- What motivated you to become a maker?
Been crafting and drawing since I was a tiny human, I can’t imagine doing anything else that would feel as satisfying.
- Looking back on the early stages of your journey, what advice would you give yourself now?
Don’t be so hard on yourself, you’ll always be learning and growing. Be careful with blades and box cutters, you only have so many fingers.
- What is your favorite thing you’ve ever made? Why?
Just one? Anything interactive. Recently it’s been a 3D glasses giant portrait trading cards of lesser known STEM professionals- mainly women and POC. Watching kids interact with these portraits in a fun way but also discovering people they may have known nothing about is very rewarding.
However, I made a shark cutout out of cardboard and cheap paint for a party once, that brought lots of joy. - What’s the next evolution for you (or your industry) going to look like?
With the pandemic, it’s shifting to more individual interactive and less close proximity with groups. Adjusting how interactive design is brought to viewers and museum goers. Combining large displays with personal context that can be downloaded or small takeaways to allow distance.
- Who would you partner with (living or dead) for your dream collaboration? And what would you work on together?
Amy Sedaris. I would hit glue googly eyes everywhere or crochet anything for that woman.
- You're on death row and it's time for your final meal. What'll ya have?

- What is your personal strategy/philosophy when it comes to using social media for your work?
In theory, post on a semi-regular basis. Admittedly, I’m not one to preach since it post my work so infrequently.
- Speaking of social media, where can people find you?
Instagram? If you want lots of cats, garden stuff, and wigs intermingled with random work.
